Equipment & Loan Program

EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM

The Equipment Loan Program was started in 2011 when RHRA received an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant to purchase fifty sets of equipment. The program offers new players the advantage of trying out the sport without investing hundreds of dollars in equipment.

First time players in FUN1/2/3 can rent a full set of equipment for the season (helmet and skates are not included)

Rental cost $50 • Deposit cheque $300, returned at end of season provided equipment is returned complete and in good condition.

Taking care of the equipment while in your possession and returning it complete and in good, clean condition helps ensure the continued success of our Equipment Loan Program.

EQUIPMENT FITTING DATES:

Date: October 4, 11 & 15 
Time: 5pm - 7pm (every 15 minutes)  • Oct 15, 2 hours prior to program start
Location: Tom Graham Arena (east rink)

RINGETTE EQUIPMENT 

Equipment standards for ringette players is provided by Ringette Canada at the following link.

Mandatory Ringette Equipment:  CSA certified hockey helmet with compatible CSA certified type 5 or 6 mask affixed BNQ approved neck protector Elbow pads Chest and shoulder pads Protective gloves Ringette girdle - hip/tailbone/genital protection (girdle & 'Jill') Ringette pants Shin guards with hard knee protection Skates (no picks) Ringette stick Goalie Equipment (extras or different): Goal pads (supplied by RHRA) Chest protector Goal stick Blocker Gel glove, ringette blocker or trapper  Goalie Equipment Optional: Goal skates Arm pads CSA approved goalie mask Plastic throat protector
